TER3M – 2019/2020 Robotic Engineering Technology

This course examines robotic systems and control of external devices. Students will assemble robots by installing and configuring appropriate hardware and software. Students will develop knowledge and skills in electronics, robotics, programming, and networks, and will build systems that use computer programs and interfaces to control and/or respond to external devices. Students will develop an awareness of related environmental and societal issues, and will learn about college and university programs leading to careers in robotics technology.

Course assignments and resources will be posted on Google Classroom. Students are required to check it daily.

Sept 4

OnShape intro tutorial

Intro tutorial was started. Students created 1×2 tubing with fillets.

Sept 11

JL, RL, DS, AC have completed safety and forms so they learned how to cut the pieces on the horizontal bandsaw. DS, AC finished measuring and DS cut the first piece. The class learned how to use the CNC router with the safety lesson. Other students finished working on the safety tests or if the forms weren’t in they worked on the readings.
